Nursery
Wishing you a very warm welcome from our Nursery team. Here at Oasis Academy Long Cross, we understand the importance of your child having the best start to their education and we work hard as an experienced team to make this happen.
We believe that early childhood is the foundation on which children build the rest of their lives and at Oasis Academy Long Cross we greatly value the importance that the EYFS plays in laying secure foundations for future learning and development.
Our EYFS setting follows a primarily child-initiated approach to early childhood learning. We will work in partnership with you to provide a curriculum that meets every child’s needs and is based on real-life experiences so that your child is ready to start school when the time comes
Places and session times
We have 32 part time places for eligible 2-year-olds and ten 30 hour and eighty 15 hour places for 3-year-olds in our Nursery.
Nursery children will be allocated a part time place. We are able to offer Monday - Friday. Morning session - 8.45am until 11.45am or an afternoon session 12.30pm - 3.30pm. We have some places available for children who are eligible for 30 hour funding and the sessions run from 8.45am – 3.30pm. You will need a valid code at the time of applying for the place in order to be considered.
Children are eligible for a free 15 hour place in our Nursery the term after they turn 3 years old. Children normally start in Nursery on either 1st September, at the beginning of January or in April. Children are able to join at other times if they are eligible and we have space.
We value every child for their individuality and know that each child will settle into the academy in their own way, so we work closely together to ensure a smooth transition.
